DTC P0562	Battery voltage low input
DETECTION CONDITION	• Battery voltage fault - Voltage below lower limit
POSSIBLE CAUSE	• Generator malfunction • Battery malfunction • Connector or terminal malfunction • PCM malfunction

Diagnostic procedure


STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED • Has FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step.
2	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY • Verify related service repair information availability. • Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information. • If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY CURRENT SIGNAL STATUS: IS CONCERN INTERMITTENT OR CONSTANT? • Connect the WDS or equivalent to the DLC-2. • Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the WDS or equivalent. • Run the vehicle under the FREEZE FRAME DATA stored condition. • Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Intermittent concern exists. Perform the "INTERMITTENT CONCERNS TROUBLESHOOTING". (See INTERMITTENT CONCERN TROUBLESHOOTING [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)
4	INSPECT BATTERY POSITIVE TERMINAL FOR POOR INSTALLATION • Turn the engine switch off. • Inspect for looseness of the battery positive terminal. • Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Connect the battery positive terminal correctly, then go to Step 9.
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	INSPECT BATTERY • Inspect the battery. (See BATTERY INSPECTION.) • Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Replace the battery, then go to Step 9. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)
5		No	Go to the next step.
6	INSPECT GENERATOR TERMINAL FOR POOR INSTALLATION • Turn the engine switch off. • Inspect the generator terminal B for looseness. • Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Connect the generator terminal B correctly, then go to Step 9.
6		No	Go to the next step.
7	INSPECT GENERATOR • Inspect the generator. (See GENERATOR INSPECTION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].) • Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Replace the generator, then go to Step 9. (See GENERATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)
7		No	Go to the next step.
8	INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR FOR POOR CONNECTION • Turn the engine switch off. • Inspect for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out terminals, corrosion). • Is there any malfunction?	Yes	Repair or replace the terminal, then go to Step 9.
8		No	Go to the next step.
9	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P0562 COMPLETED • Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors. • Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the WDS or equivalent. • Run the vehicle under the FREEZE FRAME DATA stored condition. • Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the PCM, then go to the next step. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)
9		No	Go to the next step.
10	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE • Perform the after repair procedure. (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].) • Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)
10		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
